I would like to congratulate Arati Mirji for creating such a versatile product that makes everyone's life easier in the world of Sugar Flowers. This paste enables most of us to achieve perfect results every time. I have gone through some experiments with it and as a result, I confirm that the specifications listed matches the reality. I think the sugar flowers produced with this paste will be more difficult to differentiate from real ones.
I had the pleasure of trialing this new Flower Paste from Arati Mirji & Sugarin .
You can see how veins , colors etc and stands up to humidity and all weather conditions.
Have to say , it’s up there with the BEST commercially made paste I’ve ever used !
Congratulations Arati on a fabulous product .
It's the best flowerpaste I've used in the last 20 years. It's brilliant and you need to invest in it and try it out"
Paul has also made a sunflower tutorial on cakeflix using the flowerpaste.
A bit late but finally I found a bit of time (while relaxing with a fresh mojito) to share my experience with the Flower Paste that my sweet friend Arati Mirji sent me a while back.
Had different weather since then: sunny and dry...then sunny but very humid... I am surprised to see that the roses I made with Arati´s flower paste are perfect even after all this clime changes!! At first, while the air was very dry the paste seem to dry hard, but then humidity arrived and the flowers became more flexible but at same time keeping their shape.
The veining is awesome, colors beautifully.... I am really happy to test this flower paste and in my opinion is really stunning!
Here are some roses I made using Arati´s flower paste: all cream white as it was an order for a wedding that will take place near the sea.
Thank you dear Arati for trusting me to test you flower paste and will surely order some soon.
It was a joy to work on Arati’s gumpaste by Sugarin Cake decor.
The gumpaste is beautiful to work with. Has a beautiful fresh white colour and doesn’t look dull.
Rolls very thin. Stays flexible longer giving enough working time but at the same time retains the shape well.
All in all, definitely a product I’d like to keep working on for my flowers!
Congratulations on the launch of this lovely product Arati, Mayur Naik and Reshma
And of course a big thank you to send me a sample to try out!
Ok here are my observations (for whatever they are worth ????)
*Rolls super super thin, almost to a translucent stage
*stretches so well
*easy to handle even after leaving the petals for a while before assembling
*could even curl up the ends even after it is semi dry, which is never possible with gumpaste
*it dry here right now, but the paste never dried up to be brittle
*I imagine it'll be able to withstand the humidity well looking at the consistency
And I've had absolutely no breakages, which is a mini record of sorts
Forgot to mention, never used either cornflour or shortening to roll the paste. Its stretchy but not sticky at all
So here is my all edible sugar rose made with sugarin flower paste developed by Arati Mirji. I used it and instantly fell in love with it. thank you Arati mirji for sending this flower paste which is an absolute delight to work with. it matches all the properties of a great flower paste..cant wait to play with it more.

Made a really quick flower from Alan Dunn book (The opium poppy) using Arati Mirji's Gumpaste. I must say , my search for the perfect gumpaste finally has ended.
2 words : Freaking amazing !
1. The paste was really smooth and was springing back well.
2. Very receptive to colours (mixing and painting and dusting )
3. Rolled nice and thin
4. Did not dry out at all on me.
5. Some petals , I veined and let it dry and then reveined it ! It came out beautifully.
6. Was flexible even after drying ... Like the rice paste and Bean paste flowers ..held on to the wire beautifully.
7. Did not have to worry about it falling and shattering.
Personally for me I never had the motivation to try out complicated flowers because all the gumpaste accessible to us used to dry out very quickly..
First attempt on floral decorations using Arati Mirji flower paste was done on this cake and I am floored.
Fabulously textured and pliable; it is indeed every edible floral artist dream. The colours blend easily (even though I’ve not used colours here), stretches well and is easy to roll very thin. I loved the way the petals dried without a hint of brittleness. it was still flexible – lending itself to easy handling.
There was absolutely no cracking while assembling the flowers; the flowers very gently made room for the next one as would real flowers. That solves the age old issues of transporting sugar flowers. These petals don’t crack on rubbing against each other.
Cake Canvas operates from one of the most humid parts of India and it was a pleasure working with this paste. The petals dry well and they do not get sticky with humidity during extreme weather conditions (I worked on these flowers during the time cyclone Fani passed though Kerala).
Just leave them in AC if it’s too humid.
I am absolutely in awe of this paste – this is what I would have liked to work on as a newbie during those tough initial days of cracks, disappointments and tears.
Thank you so much for the sample
It's a dream come true for me! I'm not at all a flower person , but when I need to make one , I definitely want the process to be faster( I hate making the floral paste from scratch) and easier . I should be able to roll the paste thin with ease . And the petals and foliages , that I had taken so much effort to create , shouldn't break with a mere touch . And most importantly, as I'm not a pro in flowers , I take lot of time in each step , hence the paste should be patient enough not to hurry up and dry!!! And believe me, Aarti's paste gave answer to all my problem. And I'm not surprised at all! Not because she is the best sugar flower artist this country have, but because, she's a perfectionist ,and will never ever compromise on quality . Aarti and Sugarin, you guys are indeed doing a great job ,keep it up !!! Can't wait to try a figurine with this paste !
I had wished to work with bean/rice paste for a very long time, but never got to doing it thinking of the laborious process of making the bean paste. When Arati came up with her flower paste, I was thrilled to bits because it had all the special features that you could hope for in a flower modelling paste. It rolled paper thin without much effort, veined so beautifully, kept the shape when it was left to dry and yet it still retained movement like a natural flower. I had tested the flowers I made with this paste for about a month and it was holding up so well without losing shape. If worked with in AC, it becomes stiff but goes back to being soft yet holding its shape in normal room temperature. It's a very special flower paste exactly like the person who created it. It is a brilliant creation and one can see Arati's hardwork and the passion towards making life like flowers in this paste. I would strongly recommend this to all sugar flower aspirants.
I tried the flower paste by Arati Mirji in association with Sugarin..its amazing! Rolls thin, doesn’t stick and gives enough working time. Absolutely brilliant product

This flower paste is really easy to use , does not dry too fast so it gives you enough time to complete your flowers , but more importantly holds shape. It can be rolled very thin so a little goes a long way , and takes color very easily

This is, without any doubts, the BEST flower paste I have tried yet!! It is soft, and yet rolls out super thin without any tantrums; it dries very slowly, but yet keeps shape almost immediately, so there's a long window to work with it. It takes coloring very easily and it actually blends well with water!! The final flower turns out really light. What I love the most about this paste is that it takes the veining of any mould like no other paste does!! It's an absolute joy to work with!!
