Spiral Bamboo

Introducing an interesting Masterclass - Spiral Bamboo! An element that was a focal point in my CI First Place GOLD competition piece. After a lot of planning, trial and error; I was able to perfect this technique.

I had to plan how to distribute the weight of the heavy spirals such that it would stand upright, plan an internal structure that would give me fluid spirals without awkward dents and sharp edges, and attach the bamboo shoot to the spiral and ensure it stays upright.
